QNAS’ History

Founded in 1960 as a vocational high school, Quezon National Agricultural School began with simple huts built from local materials and a small group of 72 students. From its roots as an Agricultural School for Boys, it expanded to include a Homemaking Curriculum for girls in 1963. Under successive leaders, the school grew in capability and scope, moved to its present 31-hectare site, and later offered post-secondary and degree programs before shifting toward stronger technical-vocational training and competency-based education.

From the 1990s onward, QNAS continued to develop through major programs, partnerships, and facility improvements, including agricultural enterprises, laboratory development, and curriculum enhancement supported by local and international agencies. It broadened its course offerings beyond agriculture to meet changing industry needs, strengthened community outreach, and earned major recognitions such as APACC accreditation, and TESDA STAR Ratings.
